community prevention services

At UMADAOP Lucas County, we're committed to offering comprehensive, evidence-based prevention programs for individuals and families. Our long-standing initiatives collaborate with parents, educators, faith institutions, and other community partners to promote awareness and education around alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use.

Our goals encompass reducing substance use, empowering parents, aiding children in resisting peer pressure, promoting positive conflict resolution, and strengthening family bonds. Our universal, family-centered programs aim to guide youth towards positive relationships and a future free from risky behaviors.

Our prevention initiatives, executed by our team of specialists and community partners, focus on building resilience to avoid substance use disorders (SUDs), understanding the risk factors for developing SUDs, and fostering healthy family dynamics to strengthen parent-child relationships.
